you can use joy2key for now. in the future, i hope to repack a version that’s more user friendly. right now this is more of a alpha-demo.

Oh yeah. I totally understand the directx error, and all you would have to do to enable people with lesser versions of directx to play it is supply them in the folder with the .exe the file d3dx9_30.dll. I have done this twice for my 2-D games and it works just fine.
It just helps to not have to limit your players to having to upgrade their system.
